After the delivery of the 1st module of the application (November 2018), the French version is in progress. The 1st step will be a 2 000 signs database to be ready for presentations at end of 2019Q1.

The application for France will handle the Langue des signes Française (LSF) and 2 written language (French and English).

Krousar Thmey has signed an agreement in 2017 with Signs Discovery to participate to the development of the application.

The 1st module has been delivered to Krousar Thmey in November 2018. The process to introduce the stock of signs recorded by Krousar Thmey (around 6 000) in the application is ongoing.

The application for Cambodia will handle the Cambodian Sign Language (sgn-KH), the American Sign Language (ASL) and 2 written language, Khmer and English. It’s interesting to mention that Khmer has a specific alphabet which is recognized by the application.

Signs Discovery has designed a new module (Inclusive education) according to Save The Children Cambodia requirements. The application for Save The Children will include the inclusive education module and the translator ; it should be delivered during the 2019Q1 and progressively implemented in inclusive schools.

A new module dedicated to lessons and tests is on the final design phase.

A contact has been established with the deaf persons Association (here a video extract which we recommend:  Laodeaf).

A presentation made to a Luang Prabang school specialised in the deaf children allowed to notice the interest in the tool in this type of establishment and the enthusiasm of the pupils.

Contact with the Lao Association and the Ministry of Education will be reactivated in 2019 or 2020.
